The Reader’s Guild hosted a talk on “The Evolution of Human Beings with Language” on 23rd March 2023 at the Dr Xavier Britto Auditorium. Dr Antoine Dominic, Assistant Professor, Loyola College addressed the students. The talk was both informative and insightful, and it provided a comprehensive overview of the evolution of language with humans with historical examples, quotes from movies and books which helped to paint a vivid picture on the importance of Language. The session aimed to analyse the impact of language on the development of human societies and understand the role of language in creating and maintaining cultural identities. Dr. Domonic explained how language has played a vital role in human culture and society, facilitating communication and enabling the sharing of knowledge and ideas. He also discussed the ways in which language has influenced human creativity, art, and literature. The talk was a valuable contribution to the ongoing conversation about the nature of language and its significance in human life.
