God’s Own Country – A Reunion to Remember

“Great Memories are made of these!”

On Saturday 12th January, 2020 the LIBA alumni residing at Kerala met at Club Mahindra, Cherai, to make great memories reminiscing over their days and times spent on the sprawling campus of LIBA. The already breezy morning, in an ambience which was beautiful, saw 15 alumni get together to swap stories, share their excitement and enthusiastically catch up with all the latest, happening in their lives and that of the Alma Mater. After greeting each other with hugs and handshakes the formal proceedings began with the Prayer Song ‘Showers of blessing’ sung together by all the Alumni, their families and faculty present.

Dr. Vandana Zachariah – Chairperson of the Alumni Association, welcomed the Alumni and had an informal chat with them .She updated the alumni about the new initiative taken by the Alumni association of LIBA to reconnect with its alumni .She also updated them on the new development at LIBA such as SAQ rating ,new building etc. An ice breaker session was conducted to connect the alumni from across various batches present. Among the various topics discussed, Alumni present came forward to document the different areas they could possibly contribute and give back to their Alma Mater. Some of the areas suggested were: Placement, Curriculum Inputs, Visiting faculty etc. They also discussed how to get more alumni to actively participate in the alumni related activities.

The formal program ended with cake cutting by the children and a formal vote of thanks by Ms Gladys alumnus of F01 Batch. The lunch was arranged next to the backwaters and led to more catching-up .The meet ended with the group photo sessions. Everyone present including the kids agreed that they had a marvellous day and surely great memories are built on such happy times as these!
