The three-day annual Faculty Retreat 2024 was held from 26th – 28th April 2024 at LIBA. Fr. C. Joe Arun, SJ, Director, LIBA highlighted four dispositions: Humility, Openness, Generosity, and Honesty, in addition to sharing the perspective of the retreat. He gave a recap of last year’s faculty retreat on the importance of developing an ecosystem of “Self-Directed Learning”. This year, “Culture of Gratitude” was the focus of the faculty retreat. Father reviewed the 2023 plan, stressing on gratitude as a core value and celebrating last year’s “Lot-titude” with numerous events and financial growth. He called for commitment to the 2024-25 plan, and accountability, underscoring “Great-itude” with self-transformation for students. Student outcomes and brand development, to enhance the student experience were also touched upon. The Review and the Action Plan for Academics, Admissions, Placements, Administrative Areas, Centres, and Clubs were presented by the respective Officials, Area Chairs, and Centre Heads. Fr. Director appreciated and acknowledged the great work done by faculty in the previous year and made constructive recommendations for the upcoming academic year. On the third day Fr. director also emphasized that the way forward will be AI – AACSB – OBE as integrated competence for the transformation of LIBA. For the faculty, the retreat was a revitalizing and reviving event which came to an end with an examen asking for God’s blessing for the coming academic year 2024–2025.
