The Centre for Leadership Excellence (CLE) in partnership with Xpo HR Private limited organized a HR Leadership Conference on ‘Journey of Transformation from HR functional expertise to Strategic Business Leadership’ on 13th April 2024. Aim of the conference was to get HR leaders to start moving in this direction and develop business leadership orientation to make this shift. This one-day conference was conducted by Rev. Fr. C. Joe Arun SJ, Director-LIBA, in collaboration with Managing Directors, Chief Executives and leading academicians who shared deep and critical insights that helped HR leaders to successfully transition from functional expertise to Business leadership. Mr. Rajesh Durairaj the Managing Director of Power Gear Limited spoke on the Importance of Business Acumen and Strategy for Business Leadership, followed by a session on criticality of marketing and sales skills to succeed as a business leader which was conducted by Mr. Ramanan Venkata the CEO of Intellect Design Arena Ltd. Mr. Sathyamoorthy, Director Finance, Tempel Precision spoke on Analysing Business performance through financial indicators. The conference concluded with discussions on expectations of the business heads from CHROs and challenges and practical ideas for building CEO Competencies.
