Loyola Institute of Business Administration celebrated its Annual Graduation Ceremony for the prestigious certificate and executive diploma programmes on 7 September 2019. Mr. Richard Puthota – Senior Director, Business Development, MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, graced the occasion with his presence as Chief Guest. The programme started with a prayer, followed by watering of a sapling by the dignitaries, symbolizing LIBA’s commitment to caring for the environment, for the common good.
Rev. Fr. Joe Arun, Director of LIBA, gave the welcome address and congratulated all the graduates for having successfully completed their respective courses. He encouraged them to apply the values and knowledge gathered at LIBA to the way they conduct business and appealed to them to excel in everything they do with ethics. Fr. Director also mentioned his futuristic plans for incoming LIBA graduates once the construction of the new 60 crore plus state-of-the-art building is completed. With more international collaborations with universities such as Boston and Oxford in the works and more student exchange programmes in the pipeline, he has a vision to take LIBA to greater heights for the benefit of future graduates.
The Chief Guest Mr. Richard Puthota, in his inspiring speech, advised students on how to make a successful career citing some of his own life lessons. He stressed on points like:
- Importance of 10X rule i.e., putting 10 times more efforts into any task than others put.
- Doing what you like and liking what you do.
- Take risks earlier in life is better than later. Moving out of the comfort zone, conditions one for future challenges.
- Being a giver by creating value in everything and everyone around you.
He concluded by encouraging all the graduates to be good socially responsible leaders.
Medals and degrees were conferred on 224 students of Executive Diploma Courses in various management specializations like Marketing, Finance, HR, International Business, Business Analytics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and MBA in International Relations from Binary University.
