The LIBA Fund Management League(FML) was inaugurated by Fr.Dr.Joe Arun SJ, Director, LIBA in the presence of Dr.P.C.Lakshmi Narayanan, Dean-Academics, LIBA and Dr.M.P.Pandikumar, Finance Area Chair and Faculty Coordinator of Finesse Club and student participants from the batch of F18 on 30th Oct,2019, at 10.00 AM , at LIBA FINANCE LAB.
Director addressed the participants of the Fund Management League who were split into two teams namely “Ignitive Beta” and “Libyte Vega“. He shared his thoughts on what should be the learnings and takeaways from this Institute Wide Experiential Learning initiative of trading in the actual stock markets and Portfolio evolution . He stressed on the fact that though the results of the investments may be positive or negative, the participants will ultimately gain knowledge about the strategies that work in a particular scenario and those that do not.
Finally, Director officially inaugurated the Fund Management League, by buying the stocks on behalf of both the teams . These stocks were decided by the teams based on Fundamental and Technical Analyses using Economic-Industry-Company ( EIC )approach.
