LIBA hosted the National Debate on Redefining Management Education in the Post Covid Era on 7th July 2021. Rev. Fr. C. Joe Arun, SJ, introduced and welcomed the chief guest – Prof. Anil Sahasrabuddhe, Chairman – AICTE. The chief guest, in his address, touched upon the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and predicted that the future of learning will be a hybrid model. This webinar had eminent experts from academia and other fields.
Dr. M.R. Rao, Indian School of Business, emphasized the importance of zero infra for futuristic learning where physical infra does not have a great role and explained how it will change the entire education in the coming 15 years.
Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro VC of Symbiosis International University spoke on the significance of digital transformation along with the personal transformation. She said change management is required to tackle this pandemic which has shifted the horizon of education completely.
Mr. Phalgun, Co-founder of UpGrad, talked about the idea of physical space where learning platforms are reshaping this industry.
Ms. Sabitha Rao, Cerebrus Consultants, put forward the idea of Ed Tech industry, which has changed completely due to the infra push supported by the government. She also mentioned that team management and other learnings are missing in the online education industry.
Dr. Dayanand Pandey, Director of Jaipuria Institute of Management, shared his views on the idea of collaborative teaching along with new learning and assessment methods which are going to change the entire education industry landscape.
On the whole, the webinar collected insights on holistic change in education due to the pandemic. New teaching and learning assessment methods along with collaborative teaching are the new upcoming trend for Higher education. Physical-based infra will be obsolete as defined by the experts as a futuristic vision and the changing landscape.
